If your child is in a Monday or Thursday singing group, we will perform at 4pm.
Summer Camps
We have a LOT of camps we are putting out for the summer, for grades K-12, on a lot of different topics.
Most camps are $180, and if you buy a second one for your child or their sibling it's $162. :) There are two weeks that your child can stay the whole day (9am-4pm) and we will hold them for lunch between the morning and afternoon camps.
We will still continue month-to-month lessons in the summer. With that said, we do not charge you or expect any makeups for weeks that you are away; just let us know when that will be! Mrs. Hannah will be out for several weeks this summer, just an FYI.
Group Classes
Group classes will continue through the summer, but maybe settle on a different day of the week.
NEW Adult Beginner Piano Group Class
We are excited to announce a new session for adult piano, on Sundays at 7pm, starting next month. These classes will be taught by Anna Lavin (learn about her below). They are for fresh beginners :)

NEW Play & Sip Event
We are trying something new, kind of like Paint & Sip, but Play and Sip!
This will be in conjunction with Downtown Lebanon's Girls Night Out! Tickets are $20. Bring a friend and a beverage and just come as you are. No experience necessary!

"Hi, I’m Anna! I am a classically trained pianist from Cincinnati, and my love for music began when I got a keyboard for my 6th birthday. As I grew up, my school district’s band gave me a community of musicians who pushed me and taught me the fun of learning in groups. Through this experience, I had the privilege of performing piano concertos in venues such as Cincinnati Music Hall and OMEA State Convention. I started teaching around this time as a teen, and then later I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Ohio State University (go Bucks!). In college I served as the pianist for the Ohio State Wind Symphony and accompanied numerous soloists. Since graduating, I have been specializing in teaching adult students specifically...."
“Do, a deer, a female deer… Re, a drop of golden sun…”
You may be familiar with this song from The Sound of Music, which uses the Solfege syllables of the major scale (do re mi fa sol la ti do). We use these syllables in a variety of ways with all of our students, especially to develop their listening and sight-reading skills.
Instead of focusing on note letter names, Solfege highlights the relationship and distance between notes, which are called intervals. This especially helps our vocal students as they are learning to read music, since they have to rely entirely on their inner ear instead of physically manipulating an instrument.
Students often want to play through a piece from beginning to end, but they need to learn to break down the few notes or measures that they are having trouble with.
The "3-penny" method is when you challenge yourself to play a small section perfectly 3 times in a row. Start with three pennies (or toys, etc) on one side. Each time you play the section without mistakes, you move one penny to the other side. If you make a mistake, you start all over with the first penny.
